Footage shows the moment a Swedish porn star jumped down into a bullfighting ring to try and comfort a wounded animal in Malaga, Spain.
Amina Axelsson, who lives in Spain, is an animal rights activist for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), The Mirror reports.
The crowd cheer her efforts, but she doesn’t manage to get close to the bull as she’s dragged away by a matador.
Axelsson said:
No animal should have to endure an agonising and unnecessary death for the enjoyment of a crowd.
It was a symbolic act to show that we are thinking about the bull.
I was nervous about doing it. But more nervous about police than the bull.
They can prosecute or fine me, be my guest. I’m still going to stand up for what I believe in.
Axelsson has painted herself with fake animal blood and marched through Pamplona as part of a previous protest against the blood sport.
