VocativIn a disgusting demonstration of a lack of humanity, supporters of the Islamic State have started to spread vile memes online praising the attacks in Paris.
A variety of images have been created depicting Paris on fire, and carrying disturbing messages to warn of further violence.

VocativThe hate speech also tried to justify the cause of the attacks. The images above translate respectively to ‘We will not live in comfort until we live in reality, and until you remove your hands from the blood of Muslims’ and, ‘We will set Paris on fire for your killing of Muslims in every place’.
Others have been used to intimidate with suggestions of further attacks. The image below reads ‘There shall be the battles in the heart of your homes’.
VocativBut the response in France remains resolute, with many displaying banners and posters in response to Friday’s devastation.
