A man in Nebraska has found a pretty awesome way of dealing with this winter’s severe snowfall.
War veteran Justin Anderson has taken his off-road wheelchair and turned it into a snowplow for the benefit of the whole neighbourhood.
He plows the streets in hope of giving something back to those who have supported him during hard times after serving his country in the Iraq War and then as a cancer patient.

I don’t want kids and parents to slip or have to go traipsing through the snow, and possibly, you know, hurt themselves. The community has supported me immensely with my struggles and tough times as I had a leg amputated and my fight with brain cancer. This is my way of giving back.
The wheelchair/snowplow hybrid is an incredible little invention and means he’s able to adjust how high the blade is depending on how much snow there is.
Justin insisted it wasn’t about the recognition, but more about his duty.
He added:
It’s very gratifying. It’s nice to know you’re appreciated. But even if I didn’t get any response from anyone – or nobody said Thank You – I’d still do it.
The ‘independence fund’ donated the chair to Justin so that he could get around easier and now he’s planning some more winter modifications to the snow plow.
