watch_dogs_2.0.0 (1)The original Watch Dogs was an enjoyable (if flawed) entry from Ubisoft, and going by the new footage shared at E3, Watch Dogs 2 is going to be bigger and better in every way.

Set in the San Francisco Bay Area, Watch Dogs 2 follows the exploits of Oakland born hacker Marcus Holloway as he teams up with the social justice group known as DedSec.

What’s most intriguing is the ability to run into other players as you explore your respective worlds. The video demonstrates how you can seamlessly interact with these players, and even join up with them for missions at the push of a button.

Hopefully the end product works as smoothly as it did in the demo, because it’s a neat idea. Naturally, if you hate people, you can turn this feature off and will never have to worry about running into other players.

Check out the ten minute gameplay demo below, as a Ubisoft rep talks us through the game’s mechanics and shows us just how much we can hack (spoiler: pretty much everything).

If you haven’t got ten minutes to spare, Ubisoft also shared a stylish (and brief) trailer that really highlights the amount of things there are to do/see/hack in the Bay Area.

San Francisco definitely makes for an interesting videogame setting, full of sun and colour – it makes a nice change from the original game’s decidedly drab take on Chicago.

Watch Dogs 2 comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC November 15 – though Ubisoft announced that PS4 owners would get all post game content thirty days before other platforms.
