Watch The Unbelievable ‘Pointless’ Answer That Destroyed A Friendship

It’s very rare that you get to see an entire friendship decimate before your very eyes – and it’s even rarer that it happens on prime time television for everyone to watch at the same time.

But that’s exactly what happened when Sarah and Mariam took part on BBC’s quiz show Pointless.

Asked to come up with the name of a country that ended in two consonants, Sarah was first up.

After revealing she had studied Geography A Level, this should have been a pretty easy task, especially considering she actually lives in a country that would have been a valid answer (although we doubt a ‘pointless’ one).

So what did she offer up after declaring her mind had gone blank?

‘Paris’.

Which was ‘wrong for a number of reasons,’ as host Richard Osman helpfully pointed out.

And Mariam’s fuming face – which redefined the death stare and eye roll – said it all.

I think it’s pretty clear that this friendship is probably over.

It wouldn’t be entirely surprising if the next time we saw Myriam and Sarah it was on Jeremy Kyle
