A woman secretly filmed her husband flirting with and trying to kiss their family maid.
This, you might think, would be enough to get angry about, but she could actually be imprisoned for a year on defamation charges, after posting it on social media with the caption: “The minimum punishment for this husband is to scandalise him.”
The incident happened in Saudi Arabia, where a strict punishment for people using videos or photography to defame another individual is enforced, The Mirror reports.
Men having affairs with their maids is a big problem in Saudi, where it is considered a sign of bad morals. Reports say the wife in this case had long suspected her husband was cheating, so secretly filmed him on her phone.
Her angry protest against an unfair system has since gone viral on Twitter.
