Witcher 3 Blood And Wine Launch Trailer Sets Up Geralt’s Final Hunt

New monsters to slay, tons of gore, and severed body parts all over the shop – the launch trailer for Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine expansion looks awesome.

Billed as Witcher Geralt’s “final hunt”, we’re given another glimpse of the region of Toussaint, a beautiful land with a serious monster problem. Obviously, only a Witcher can help save the day.

Developer CD Projekt Red said:

For the last time become professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia and explore Toussaint, a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom.

The entirely new region of Toussaint is looking absolutely gorgeous – the complete opposite of Velen, a region from the base game that was ravaged by war (and near constant rain).

There’ll be plenty to see and do in the expansion too, so it’ll be a while before we say our final goodbyes to the world of Witcher. Blood and Wine has more than 90 new quests and 40 points of interest, equating to roughly 30 hours of gameplay.

I recommend we make the most of it, as CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski recently suggested that Blood and Wine is the end of The Witcher series, at least for the foreseeable future.

Check out the trailer below. It’s kind of hard not to get pumped with all that heavy metal music in the background.

Witcher 3: Blood and Wine launches May 31. I hope you’ve all prepared your goodbyes.
