CD Projekt RED has confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game Of The Year Edition will launch on Tuesday, August 30 along with all previously released DLC.

Considering the massive open world action RPG hoovered up more Game Of The Year awards than any other game, it makes sense to release this special edition – especially since the March release of the Blood and Wine expansion marked the end of the game.

As well as the meatier expansions Blood and Wine, and Hearts of Stone, this new edition will also come with the 16 pieces of free DLC readily installed.

These free bits of DLC ranged from a challenging New Game +, new quests, armour sets, and even hairstyles – all are well worth checking out for anyone who hasn’t already.

I’ve talked before (several times) about what a truly incredible piece of work Witcher 3 is on pretty much every level. It creates an engaging story with wonderful characters set in a fully realised world that offers an almost overwhelming amount of lore, and a ridiculous amount of things to do and see.

If you’ve never played the game before, then I implore you to pick up the Game Of The Year Edition. The same goes for anyone who might have purchased an early copy but never gave it much of a chance and sold it soon after.

Watch the Game Of The Year trailer below, and remember: It’s just a fucking good game.

The next big undertaking for CD Projekt RED is the ambitious sounding Cyberpunk 2077, an action-RPG that they want to outperform The Witcher in every way.

Best of luck to them with that.
