A woman has claimed that she genuinely feared for her life after allegedly being waterboarded at ‘the world’s scariest haunted house’.
Amy Milligan said she was traumatised after her visit to the infamous McKamey Manor in San Diego, California, reports The San Diego Union-Tribune.
Famed for the brutal treatment of its guests – which includes simulated torture – visitors to McKamey must undergo background checks as well as sign a waiver because of the stress the ordeal can cause.

Speaking to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Milligan said video footage had been edited to remove the worst aspects of her experience.
She claimed that in an unseen stunt, the actors repeatedly pushed her head underwater even though she begged them to stop.
However what remains is pretty shocking, with a video showing her being pushed, slapped, pulled around and gagged.
Another segment shows her lying in a dirty freezer, as actors throw buckets of water over her head.
Milligan told the Union-Tribune:
My hair [was] wrapping around my neck and I start freaking out. I’m telling them I can’t breathe and they’re just laughing and doing it more.
She also alleged she was forced to lie in a shallow, caged pool of water with her hands tied and that the experience has left her with both physical and emotional scars.
She said:
I cry over every little thing. If I hear about McKamey Manor, I freak out. You give them so much trust and they just break it by waterboarding you and slapping you.
In response to the claims, owner and founder of the manor, Russ McKamey, said every visitor knows what they’re letting themselves in for.
He told the Union-Tribune:
We do not waterboard, we do not even kind of waterboard. It’s psychological what we’re doing. They’re safe all the time.
McKamey said there are a small number of people who ignore the warnings, and then make accusations of torture and assault.
It is known as the world’s scariest haunted house FFS.
