The driver and passengers escaped with minor injuries, however the car was completely destroyed.

The Ferrari 458 cost nearly half a million pounds to buy and import into China, and was destroyed just moments after being driven away from the dealership.

The red sports car crashed through a barrier into oncoming traffic, smashing into a BMW 4×4 in the process.

The video initially shows the interior of the car, with the driver saying:

First time driving a Ferrari. This truly is the most amazing feeling.

The video then cuts to footage of the accident – check out the moment below:

Traffic cameras on the busy city-centre road show the woman suddenly swerving out of control and slamming head-on into a metal traffic barrier and a BMW X3, which also collides with the unsuspecting driver of a black Nissan saloon car.

In spite of what appeared to be a low-speed crash, footage taken by witnesses in the aftermath of the accident shows the front end of the Ferrari 458 completely destroyed, with its airbags deployed.

Luckily, the driver and her female passengers were not seriously injured.

The vehicle is reported to have been purchased by the rental dealership for the astronomical import price of more than 4 million Renminbi, (£463,000), while the cost to mend the damaged Italian sports car has been estimated at half that amount.

Social media users have suggested the driver may have turned off the car’s traction control before the crash, which would explain how the vehicle suddenly spun out of control.

It seems traffic in the Zhejiang Province is not great at the moment – earlier this week, two brave people jumped to the rescue of 30 passengers onboard a coach after the driver suffered a stroke at the wheel.

The coach was travelling through the area when passengers noticed the bus had dangerously swayed over to the verge of the highway.

A 45-year-old businessman, Xie Shangpan, was one of the rescuers who leapt into action when he noticed something was wrong.

In a brave move, he rushed to the driver’s seat and managed to take control of the bus, pulling it over to the side of the road before any accident could take place.

Check out the amazing moment here:

It was reported the bus driver, Li Ming, suffered a stroke after driving 17 hours non-stop from Pingyang, Zhejiang Province. He’s now recovering in hospital.

Mr Xie along with another passenger, Wu Yueping, managed to take control of the steering wheel and brought the coach to a stop in the emergency lane.

Along with the other passengers, they helped the driver off the bus as they waited for emergency services to arrive.

Coach or Ferrari? I think I’ll take the train thanks.
