Toni Kelly, who was described as a ‘happy and beautiful’ woman, was still on life support when she passed away after sustaining serious brain injuries.

While her family, who are flying in from New Zealand to retrieve her body, and officials in the UK have yet to confirm, Ms. Kelly’s friend’s say she fell from a second-storey window as she attempted to snap a picture herself.

Since the tragic incident her friends and family have begun raising funds to help bring her body back to New Zealand and have set up a fundraiser page on Givealittle, titled ‘Bring Our Toni home’.

Money raised will also go towards any additional costs such as funeral expenses. Since last Wednesday morning more than $33,400 NZD (£17,309) has been raised.

One of Ms. Kelly’s friends from primary school, Paige Hourigan, spoke to the Daily Mail Australia. She remembered her as ‘the girl who was always smiling’ and ‘the most fun’ to be around.

Ms. Hourigan added:

When we were young Toni was one of those people that never had anything bad to say about anyone, she was super girly, laid-back and fun, which I loved.

I remember just laughing and giggling with her all the time about nothing.

She was a beautiful girl that will definitely always be remembered — especially for that smile.

Kelly, who was in her 20s, at the time of her death was originally from Dargaville, New Zealand and was believed to have been studying in the UK as part of a teacher-training scheme.

Toni Kelly’s Givealittle page revealed that after her death her organs were donated to ‘help save other lives in the UK’.

Stacey wrote:

I just wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart for the endless support so far.

Also a huge thank you to the girls who thought of & created this beautiful page for our baby girl.

We are completely lost for words & can’t wait to be home.

Toni’s aunt, Sharon Kelly, said her parents were (understandably) ‘devastated beyond words’.
