Woman Found Ringing Doorbells In Chilling Footage Identified And Boyfriend Found Dead

A video of a woman ringing doorbells in the middle of the night with handcuffs on made headlines recently due its strange and disturbing nature.

The female was unknown at the time, and was caught on film by local resident Jennie Drude’s security camera, who shared the footage with the police.

During the video, the woman walks up quietly to the door of a home with what appears to be a kind of restraint on her wrists, and without any trousers or shoes.

She was ringing doorbells in the Sunrise Ranch area of Montgomery, Texas at around 3am on Friday, August 24.

Since the footage was shared, new details have now emerged about the incident.

A few days after the incident, on Wednesday, August 30, police revealed a man, believed to be the boyfriend of the woman in the video, killed himself with a single shot to the head, report the Daily Mail.

The woman, who was described as a ‘victim of family violence’ and therefore could not be identified, is now safe and being consoled by her family, according to Montgomery Sheriff’s Officer, Scott Spencer.

A statement from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said:

On August 29th 2018 at about 11 a.m. the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a welfare check call in the 18400 block of Sunrise Pines in the Sunrise Ranch subdivision.

Deputies received information a male made suicidal comments. When deputies arrived on scene they could not get an answer at the door and due to the circumstances made forced entry into the home. A man was found deceased inside the home.

The male was identified as a 49 year old white male. They preliminary cause of death is believed to be a single gunshot wound. The deceased’s girlfriend, a 32-year-old white female, who was not on scene when deputies arrived, is confirmed to be the female in the doorbell ring video.

Due to the female’s status as a family violence victim, the female’s identity can not be released at this time. The female is confirmed to be safe and with family. The investigation will continue.

The female that we have all been looking for has been identified and is safe. She is currently outside Montgomery County and our investigators will be meeting with her to continue the investigation.

The police confirmed the man’s live-in partner was the woman who’d been captured on CCTV ringing doorbells.

They have not yet explained why she was in such a state as well as appearing to have restraints around her wrists.
