A woman saved around 50 children who were separated from their parents after the horrifying Manchester terror attack last night.
Paula Robinson, 48, was at Victoria train station next to the arena with her husband when she felt the explosion and saw ‘dozens’ of teenage girls screaming and running away from the building.
The disgusting terrorist attack left at least 22 people dead, most of them under the age of 18, while over 50 others were injured.
Ms Robinson from West Dalton, said she ‘ran out’ of the area after the blast and ‘got the teens to run with me’ before taking them to a nearby hotel.
She then posted her mobile number all over social media, encouraging parents to contact her.
Speaking to Reuters, Paula said:
Parents were frantic running about trying to get to their children.
There were lots and lots of children at Holiday Inn.
The Independent confirmed with the Holiday Inn that Ms Robinson had in fact taken the teenagers to the Premier Inn in town, located a few hundred metres from the arena.
She posted to Facebook:
We have got about 50 kids with us waiting to be picked up, they are safe we will look after them.
Please re-post for any parents with children at MEN [Manchester Arena]. We have taken as many kids as we can to Holiday Inn we will keep them safe and stay with them.
