A woman, who’s been accused of breaking and entering the home of a man she went on one date with, was found by police bathing in his bathroom.
It’s believed 31-year-old Jacqueline Ades, from Pheonix, Arizona, became obsessed with a man – who cannot be named for legal reasons – allegedly flooding him with at least 65,000 texts.
The two reportedly met on a dating website, however, after meeting up, the man claims to have told her he wasn’t interested.
However, Ades reportedly began to stalk him continuously, while sending him text messages at an alarming rate.
According to FOX10, in one of the messages, she compares herself to Adolf Hitler, while in another, claims she told him she wanted to bathe in his blood and wear his body parts, as reported by ABC15.
Officers found Ades outside of his house on July 31, last year, in Paradise Valley, after he called the police. After being told to leave, he claims he began receiving threatening text messages from her.
Police received a similar report back in December from the same residence but they were unable to locate her.
On April 8, the victim – who was out of the country at the time – called the police for a third time, after he saw Ades in his house while checking his home surveillance cameras.
When officers arrived, they found Ades taking a bath in his tub. Court paperwork also states a large butcher’s knife, from the passenger seat of her car, was confiscated.
She was later taken into custody and charged with trespassing. Three days later, she was released from jail and allegedly began sending him more texts – some with threats reportedly stating ‘harm may come to him’.
After three weeks, he contacted authorities once more, claiming he was a victim of multiple threatening text messages sent by Ades. He’s said to have explained how they only went on one date, after meeting on a dating website.
According to court documents, he claims Ades would send him about 500 messages a day to his phone. One of her messages was of a threatening nature, claiming ‘I’ll kill you’ if he ever tried to ‘leave’ her.
Last week, police were called to a place of business, which he owned in Scottsdale, Arizona. According to police, a passerby reported how Ades was ‘acting irrationally… claiming to be the owner’s wife’.
Ades was arrested on Tuesday, (May 8) and during a jailhouse interview with media on Thursday, (May 10) stated:
I felt like I met my soul mate and everything was just the way it was. I thought we would do what everybody else did, but that’s not what happened.
During questioning, Ades admitted to the police she was sending him texts all day but he never responded to any of them.
Furthermore, she said her threatening behaviour was down to the fact he’d called police on her.
While she acknowledges her statements were ‘crazy’ Ades plans to return to Florida once she’s released.
