A woman, who’s currently serving 65 years in prison for injecting her husband with a lethal dose of heroin and smothering him, has also been accused of murdering her lover and serving his remains at a BBQ.

34-year-old Kelly M. Cochran was sentenced to 65 years behind bars last month, after pleading guilty to the murder of her husband, Jason.

However, she was already serving a life sentence for the murder and dismemberment of her lover, Chris Regan, who vanished in 2014.

A documentary, which is set to air on May 28, ( May 29 in the US), is linking her to a series of other murders. According to members of Cochran’s family, they believe the Indiana native has killed at least nine people, with their bodies buried all across the Midwest.

In the upcoming documentary, Dead North, the showrunners explore a series of murders in which she may have played a part in. Cochran’s friends and family recounted to investigators the gruesome and horrific tale of how Cochran supposedly served Regan’s remains to her neighbours at a barbecue.

The documentary will be told through the account of former Iron River, Michigan Police Chief, Laura Frizzo, who investigated the case in October 2014 after Chris Regan’s disappearance, reports the IndyStar.

According to court documents from Lake County, Indiana, she first met her potential suspects, Jason and Kelly, when she started the investigation into Regan’s disappearance. Frizzo says Kelly was having an affair with Regan and was possibly the last person who saw him alive.

The case fell apart but was later reopened in February 2016, after Jason died of an apparent overdose in Hobart. An investigation into his death revealed he’d been murdered.

Kelly then admitted to being involved in the murder of her former lover, claiming she and Jason had sworn an oath to ‘kill off’ those involved in their extramarital affairs.

The court documents reveal the husband and wife set a trap for Regan when he came to their home where they shot and dismembered him, before dumping his served body parts in the woods.

Kelly later explained she murdered her husband as an act of revenge for killing Regan. She explained to a police investigator she’d injected Jason with a lethal dose of heroin before something.

In May 2017 she was sentenced to life for the murder of Regan, after pleading guilty. On April 18 she was sentenced for the murder of her husband.

However, a press release from Investigation Discovery, who’ll be broadcasting the documentary, states both cases are being adjudicated after her brother came forward about the possibility she maybe a serial killer.

Furthermore, according to Investigation Discovery, Kelly’s neighbours fear she may have served up the remains of Regan at a barbecue.

Investigation Discovery states:

The toll of this case on Frizzo’s career (is) significant. Despite disagreements with the Iron River City Manager regarding her ‘bullheaded’ investigation style, Frizzo remains adamant that the case isn’t closed.

The City Manager relieves Frizzo of her duties just as Kelly admits to having other ‘friends’ buried in Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee and Minnesota; however, the identities and specific locations of these bodies remain a mystery to this day

Dead North will take viewers through the cases of Chris Regan and Jason Cochran, with extensive body-cam footage and interrogation room conversations, bringing an end to what’s thought to be a ‘Fargo-like tale’, which includes an intense face-off between Cochran and Frizzo.
