GettyA woman who was missing her dead mum got the shock of her life when she spotted her mother outside her old home on Google Earth.
Denise Underhill, who lives in Florida, was cleaning her home when she felt the need to speak to her mum Beryl Turton.
Unfortunately, this was impossible as Beryl had passed away 18 months prior, so instead she searched for her old home in Tamworth, Staffordshire, on Google Earth.
GoogleAll Denise wanted to see was if the new owners had changed the house at all but she was shocked to see her recently deceased mum outside the house watering her plants.
Now obviously this wasn’t some otherworldly apparition, it’s just that Google take the photos for their street view software months if not years in advance, not that this dampened Denise’s delight.
Google Denise told the Tamworth Herald:
I got the BIGGEST surprise EVER! I just couldn’t believe it. At the foot of the driveway was my mother. She was watering the garden, just as she always did.
I was absolutely astounded – it made my day. You never know what photos are being taken but they really do last a lifetime.
