Wonder Woman is raking in the cash and is set to become the twentieth highest grossing film ever in the United States.

It is now the fifth biggest super-hero movie ever in North America behind The Avengers, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.

The film, starring Gal Godot as the title character and co-starring Chris Pine, gained mostly positive reviews even surprising director Patty Jenkins who didn’t expect such an enthusiastic reception.

So far the movie has made over $800 million worldwide. The box-office in the United States and Canada alone is $408.9 million and climbing, add to that $403.7 from the rest of the world and it is
easy to see why a sequel is in the works.

Patty is in talks to direct the sequel titled Wonder Woman 2 and from the box-office alone it is clear why she would be first choice.

Gage Skidmore

While nothing is official yet if she does return it is highly likely she would get a significant pay rise which would make her the highest paid female director in Hollywood.

A real-life Wonder Woman making waves for the female directors of the future.

The sequel is set for release December 13 2019, however if you can’t wait that long you can catch the heroine saving the world again with the Justice League later this year on November 17.
