Get your bunkers ready, World War III may be here a lot sooner than you think.

Sources have claimed that America has started moving its nuclear missiles from the Incirlik Air Base, in southern Turkey, to the Deveselu Air Base, in Romania.

The reason behind the move could be because of the plummeted relations between the U.S. and Turkey, who accused the CIA of being behind last month’s coup against its government.

Thousands of protesters demanded the U.S. leave by shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ and gathering outside the Incirlik Air Base, the Daily Star reports.

During the failed coup, power to the base was cut and according to reports, the U.S. may fear the nukes could fall into the wrong hands if the country becomes unstable.

Turkey’s base is thought to have about 50 warheads, which make up part of NATO’s nuclear deterrent against Russia.

And the military is also thought to be concerned about how close the base is to ISIS-controlled areas in Syria.

But reports suggest another reason for the move could have a much darker underlying reason: the U.S. may also want the nukes closer to its old enemy.

Their new base in Romania is about 500 miles closer to Moscow.

The move also makes sense considering NATO has been having trouble countering Russia, who has become increasingly aggressive – especially after experts revealed Vladimir Putin’s army could overrun Eastern Europe in less than 60 hours. I don’t know about you, but that’s not something I’d like to witness. And apparently it’s not something the U.S. wants to see, either.

Hopefully this is all just precaution and a World War III never actually comes to light.
