WWEWWE superstars are renowned for making kids’ dreams come true through their charity work, as well as their in-ring performances, and Monday night was no exception.
After Raw went off the air, cameras caught the moment that real-life superheroes John Cena and Sting made 7-year-old cancer survivor Kiara Grindrod’s dreams come true.
Cena is no stranger to charitable gestures – last month he reached a landmark 500 children’s wishes granted through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the most granted by a single individual.
And last night, the pro-wrestling star grabbed the microphone and pointed out the special little girl to the crowd, congratulating Kiara on recovering from the horrible disease.
He said:
On behalf of Sting, myself and every person behind that screen, we sincerely want to thank you for being our guest tonight, for being an inspiration to not only us in the ring, but every single person outside the ring and around the world. You’re seven years old and I am proud to say, you have beat the battle against cancer.
Cena then went out into the stands to greet Kiara, hug her and present her with some gifts. He was joined by WCW legend Sting (who had just wrestled his first ever match on WWE’s flagship TV show), who gave the incredible youngster one of his famous gloves.
The crowd loved the emotional moment, showing their respect by loudly applauding and chanting “Yes”, and we reckon you’ll love it too! What a lovely gesture from WWE.
