In a recent episode of Antiques Roadshow one lucky toy owner found out about that his 1969 Hot Wheels car was worth £80,000 to £120,000, that’s a lot of money for a kid’s toy.
It’s not just any old car that’s worth a fortune it’s a super specific, and needless to say rare, reports Car Throttle, prototype of the early Volkswagen Microbus Beach Bomb car.

The car on Antiques Roadshow even came with an interesting backstory.
It was given to its owner nearly 50 years by his dear old dad who had worked as a foreman at Mattel, the company who make these tiny tin toys.
