GettyJohnny Depp’s court battle with Amber Heard is about to get a whole lot uglier, after a video has emerged of an angry Depp appearing to throw a wine bottle during a row with his then-wife.
The short clip, which was leaked online and published by TMZ, shows the actress moving the camera to capture Johnny right in the middle of his rage.
She asks him if he had drunk the whole bottle of wine that morning, while Depp storms around the kitchen banging cupboards and repeatedly shouting ‘motherfucker’.
Amber then asks her husband: “What happened? I just woke up and you were so sweet, and nice. We were not even fighting this morning. All I did was say sorry.”
TMZ/YouTubeAs he fills a glass of wine he exclaims: “You want to see crazy, I’ll show you something crazy.” That’s when he notices that he’s being recorded and snatches the camera before the film ends.
The video was reportedly filmed months before the alleged incident on May 21st, where Amber claims that Johnny hit her.
TMZ/YouTubeSince the video emerged online, sources close to Depp claimed that the footage was ‘heavily edited’, with TMZ reporting that they believe there were parts where Heard can be smiling and encouraging him.
These sources added that they believe the video was set up by Amber.
If the claims about an edit are true, it’s unlikely that it can be used in the court, because it seems that the actor was filmed without his knowledge.
PAWhatever the case, this video is a pretty terrifying insight into their fractured relationship.
