This pregnant Australian fitness model works out like a machine every day, and she’s hitting back at critics.

Chontel Duncan is a fitness instructor who has worked out and continued at her career throughout her pregnancy. In fact, she’s probably more active than those of us who aren’t pregnant.

She’s got rock hard abs despite the fact she’s growing another person inside her, and she’s making no apologies for it.

Duncan said in an Instagram post:

People think I’m harming my baby … and that I’m all about staying skinny and not nourishing my [baby]. I know it’s hard to believe that someone can carry a child the way I am, but in reality, a lot of women carry like me.

I’m going to continue to train right up until my first contraction, I’m going to get straight back into fitness the day I am given the ‘all clear’.

I’m going to document my physical changes post baby & I’m going to probably upset a few people. I am aware of this & I don’t care, people need to see variety in pregnancies, see hope in being able to do it all & remember it’s important for new mums to look after themselves mentally & physically to be prepared to tackle every challenge ahead of them.

This comes after Duncan compared baby bumps with a ‘more average looking’ pregnant woman, just a few weeks apart, but very different in size.

And it’s not the first time we’ve seen a super fit pregnant woman. Bikini and fitness model Sarah Stage was eight months pregnant and definitely didn’t look it.

Duncan and her husband, Sam, plan to welcome their first child, a boy, on March 30.

I say great work, Chontel. That’s going to be one healthy baby.
