It turns out that Donald Trump needs a supportive hand on the slope he embarked on with Theresa May.

I am of course overcome with political metaphors, but literally speaking, Trump held Theresa May’s hand because of his bathmophobia.

The president’s bizarre phobia means that he is scared of stairs and slopes, so needed the warm, comforting hand of Theresa May.

When you actually watch the video. it becomes clear that the new President is hanging on for dear life.

In fact, Donald Trump is also a bit of a germaphobe, with his biggest weakness being a dirty stair rail.

Senior sources said:

He hates heights where you can see the ground or sharp inclines even more than [he hates] germs. He particularly dislikes staircases and his biggest nightmare of all is a dirty stair rail.

He once said ‘One of the curses of American society is the simple act of shaking hands and the more successful and famous one becomes, the worse this terrible custom seems to get. I happen to be a clean-hands freak. I feel much better after I thoroughly wash my hands, which I do as much as possible.’

What about Trump Tower you ask? Well he has his golden elevator there so doesn’t have to set eyes on a stair.
