That’s right, according to research, ginger women are getting it more often than their blonde and brunette buddies.
The study was conducted by Werner Habermehl PhD, from the Hamburg Research Institute in Germany, who correlated the sex lives and hair colour of hundreds of women and found the sex lives of women with red hair to be much more active, according to Everyday Health.

The sex lives of women with red hair were clearly more active than those with other hair colour, with more partners and having sex more often than the average.
The research shows that the fiery redhead certainly lives up to her reputation.
He did add a slightly problematic addendum to this statement, saying people who dye their hair red are doing so to signal to the wider world that they are looking for a partner.

There is definitely an active fascination with redheaded women in society for some time, just look as far back as the masterful Renaissance painting The Birth Of Venus by Sandro Botticelli.
In fact, the attraction to redheads is actually based in quite solid science – at least, for the attraction to female redheads.
Dr Jonathan Rees at The University of Edinburgh reckons the ginger gene MC1R has been so successful due to sexual selection.
Rees argues the first redheads began to emerge around 50,000 years ago, but the gene spread incredibly quickly. He reckons this is because people want to mate with women with red hair.
There are a bunch of reasons which could be behind this, not least of which is pure statistics.
BBCRedheads are a relatively small proportion of the population, which means there are psychological biases which instantly makes them more desirable, because they are less available.
Secondly is just common sense. Red hair is more distinctive than the far more common blonde or brunette hair colour. This means people with red hair who walk into a bar are more likely to make an impression which gives them an instant edge in the mating game as they stand out in a crowd.
Red hair is also associated with fertility, and it never turns grey, only white, and hair colour is a big deal from an evolutionary perspective.
UniversalHair colour indicates fertility, as people with grey hair are less likely to be fertile and therefore can be deemed as less desirable mates.
This gives redheads an instantaneous evolutionary advantage when prospective mates are weighing up their options.
Perhaps most controversially is the theory that redheads have a deeper capacity for horniness because of their genetic rarity.
Focus FeaturesPsychologist Scott Barry Kaufman argues in Psychology Today that because the red gene is so rare, there is a stronger inherent desire to keep the gene pool going for further generations.
