This ‘flat-earther’ is so convinced the Earth is flat, he took a spirit level onto a plane in an ill-advised attempt to prove his theory…
So even though we’ve had undeniable proof the Earth is not flat for a hell of a long time now, it seems some people out there won’t take actual science as a given.
Flat-earth conspiracy theorist D Marble, actually took a spirit level onto a plane to make his alleged point ‘we’ve been living a lie all this time and the planet is actually completely flat’, indy100 reports.
To ‘shed light’ on the ludicrous situation, Marble filmed his travels and posted it to YouTube, presumably to ‘enlighten’ others on his journey for the ‘truth’.
The ‘realist’ – as he describes himself – took a flight from North Carolina to Seattle, to observe if the pilot would dip the nose of the plane to ‘compensate for curvature’.
He explains:
I recorded a 23 minute and 45 seconds time-lapse, which by those measurements means the plane travelled a little over 203 miles.
According to curvature math given to explain the globe model, this should have resulted in the compensation of 5 miles of curvature. As you’ll see there was no measurable compensation for curvature.

The ‘flat-earther’ hopes to convince scientists all their hard work and actual knowledge is completely wrong and in fact he is the one with the answers.
He believes the fact the bubble in the spirit level remained perfectly in the centre is ‘proof’ the earth is indeed flat.
He added:
It is what it is. It’s called a spirit level for a reason.
He even encourages other to root around in their toolbox, grab a spirit level and do the same.
It’s certainly an interesting theory, although definitely not a popular one.
After watching his account of his unusual experiment, viewers had a lot to say about it – and none of it was particularly positive…
Well that went well, but hey, each to their own and we all believe what we want to believe in this world and if that involves disregarding actual science for your own ill-thought out findings, then fine.
Also, I don’t want to burst his bubble, but during his time lapse, I definitely saw it move. Perhaps someone should explain how gravity works to him in a little more detail…
