Netflix Waits 5 Years To Troll Neil deGrasse Tyson With Perfect Tweet

Netflix has waited five years to troll astrophysicist and science legend Neil deGrasse Tyson in the most epic way.

It’s a long time to wait, sure, but I think it was worth it.

On the evening of February 17, 2013, deGrasse Tyson took to Twitter to say he was all ready to watch the film Amegeddon but couldn’t because it wasn’t on iTunes, or Netflix.

He wrote:

Was ready to watch the 1998 film Armageddon (in which the laws of physics are optional) but it’s nowhere on Netflix or iTunes.

Netflix has since added to film to its catalogue and decided to dig out deGrasse’s tweet after all this time.

The person behind the social media tweeted:

Well its on there now if u wanna ruin it for everyone, Neil.

Yeah, Neil!

J.D. Durkin commented underneath:

Netflix waited 5 years for this tweet, btw.

To which Netflix replied: ‘Worth every second.’

Of course, deGrasse Tyson has seen it and replied with a bit of sass.

Wow. You dug that one up from five years ago (posted February 17, 2013). I’ll watch Armageddon again and try not to disappoint those who are angered (as well as those who are enlightened) by my comments.

Making sure deGrasse Tyson could watch something with ‘more scientifically accurate information’, they suggested the ‘PERFECT’ show for him – replying with a GIF from Boss Baby.

Netflix went all out sassy back in January as well after adding TV sitcom Friends to its streaming service.

Amy complained on Twitter writing:

Rewatching Friends on Netflix and damn! Never realised just how annoying and homophobic Ross was with stuff like this! Did always love Carol and Susan though, should have known.

Millennials weren’t sure on it, so Netflix decided to reimagine the show’s plot-lines giving it a 2018 twist.

They wrote:

Netflix released its full list of firm favorites and new originals you’ll be able to binge on in about a week and a half through April.

As well as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, there are a further 10, yes 10, Monty Python classics, including Life Of Brian and Almost The Truth.
