The Avengers: Endgame trailer was finally released last week much to fans’ delight.

While not giving much away, Marvel did tease us with glimpses of what we can expect from the fourth Avengers film which will bring to an end Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Teasing us with shots of Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye as Ronin and the return of Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, it was the opening scene of the trailer that left us with the most questions.

You can check out the trailer here:

Opening on a shot of Tony Stark’s Iron Man helmet lying on the floor of a spaceship, the hero turns it on to record a message for his fiancée Pepper Potts who is back on Earth.

Tired, lost and looking defeated, Tony tells Pepper:

Dear Miss Potts, if you find this recording don’t feel bad about this, part of the journey is the end. Just for the record being adrift in space with zero promise of rescue is more fun than it sounds.

Food and water ran out four days ago, oxygen will run out tomorrow morning and I mean it, when I drift off I will dream about you, it’s always you.

After he has said goodbye Tony turns the helmet off leaving us all wondering if he will die while lost in space.

The emotional scene has clearly left fans devastated, many of whom are now hilariously turning to NASA for help.

People have been tweeting the space agency asking them to send a team out to space to rescue Tony in order to get him back home to Pepper and the rest of the Avengers.

One user urgently tweeted:

NASA SAVE TONY STARK. HIS OXYGEN WILL RUN OUT TOMORROW DO SOMETHING.

Jerry also asked NASA to do something but in a slightly more threatening way:

NASA stop other things… Just go for Tony Stark and rescue him…

Or you will pay for it…

Go go go…..

Just go there you damn folks

Sidd shared a photo of Stark with NASA on Twitter hoping that will help:

NASA. Hey guys…

On behalf of all the survivors I request you to pls find Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, resident of 10-8-80 Malibu Point, 90265, Malibu, CA. He is stuck somewhere in space without food and water with oxygen about to run out anytime now. Here’s his picture.

Galal cleverly also reminded NASA to be aware of Thanos in his tweet:

I hope you search the space for Tony Stark, nicknamed Iron Man, and bring him back to Earth for the Avengers

But beware of Thanos.

Amos also asked NASA to save Tony calling him ‘the only hope’ in the fight against Thanos:

NASA. Please look for Mr Tony Stark on space. He is wondering on a ship alone. Please save him NASA. Thank you very much. He is the only hope in order to finish thanos once and for all.

We really do hope Tony somehow finds a way home. If the trailer really did reveal his ultimate fate, I will need to bring a big box of tissues with me to the cinema!
