Cardi B is taking no prisoners as the American government enters its fourth week of shutdown, and some 800,000 federal workers remain unpaid.

The rapper dubbed America ‘a hellhole’ as she took to Instagram to share her hot take on the three-ringed circus equating to domestic American politics right now, with President Donald Trump at the helm of this big ol’ mess.

The shutdown began at midnight on December 21, 2018. By January 12, 2019, it had became the longest shutdown in US history, lasting 22 days with no end in sight, all over a big wall.

About 380,000 non-critical employees of nine federal agencies were sent home without pay, until January 15 when the Trump administration called 50,000 of them back to work… You guessed it, without pay.

Now, Cardi knows enough about making moves to know this is just not on.

So, the Bronx-born 26-year-old told her fans ‘shit getting real’ but gave her thoughts with a caveat, how she ought not ‘to say nothing much’ because she ‘don’t want mofos to off [her]’, before taking the time to promote her new video Twerk.

Without further ado, here’s the gospel according to Cardi:

Hey y’all, I just want to remind you because it’s been a little bit over three weeks, okay!?

It’s been a little bit over three weeks, Trump is now ordering… federal government workers to go back to work without getting paid!

Well, she’s not wrong.

As the shutdown stretches on, some federal employees from affected departments – Agriculture, Commerce, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Justice, State, Treasury and Transportation – are being forced to look for part-time work to pay bills, and she’s simply not happy about the state of the free world.

The remaining 420,000 are critical employees who’ve been working without pay since before Christmas when the shutdown began.

She advised commenters not to use the shutdown, which occurred during the dispute over the Affordable Care Act, to defend Trump.

She continued:

Now, I don’t want to hear y’all motherfuckers talking about, ‘Oh, but Obama shut down the government for 17 days.’ Yeah bitch! For healthcare!

So your grandma can check her blood pressure, and you bitches can go check your pussy at the gynecologist with no motherfucking problem!

Here’s the hot take in all its glory:

Cardi continued to lament the reason behind the current chaos, speaking sense when she says the country is in a ‘hell hole’ and all ‘for a fucking wall’.

While she recognised she’s not exactly qualified to start a political revolution, Cardi urged her supporters to take action.

Although Congress passed a bill to reimburse federal exempt employees for lost wages once the shutdown ends, contract workers will not be reimbursed, and she’s not happy.

She took aim at Trump supporters, too, adding:

Now, I know a lot of you don’t care because y’all don’t work for the government or y’all probably don’t even have a job, but this shit is really fucking serious, bro. This shit is crazy.

Like our country is in a hell hole right now, all for a fucking wall.

You promised these fucking racist rednecks that you was gonna build the wall, but you know that was impossible, but they voted for you and you promised them this shit so, now you have to do it.

Trump wasn’t immune to her notoriously sharp tongue either. The rapper called him a ‘clout chaser’ and compared him to the modern movement of rappers who just want money and fame.

Here’s the stream of insults written out in black and white for your perusal:

Trump is like a clout chaser. He’s like one of these new rap artists: They follow, they do the most for clout. And Trump wants that.

Some people can have money, some people can have all the money in the world, all the power in the world, but they really want that fame.

His legacy, he wants to go down as that bad person. You see the shit he pulled on Christmas and New Years? He loves to interrupt the peace.

Trump has begged… Trump wants to be cool with basketball teams, football teams and black people. He want to be cool with them. He wants validation from what’s popping right now.

Not long after posting the video, the hashtag ‘Cardi B 2020’ gained traction on Twitter, with numerous fans posting the clip to the website.

It literally wouldn’t even be the strangest thing to happen in global politics in the past few years. Watch this space.
