Music legend Prince has been confirmed dead at the age of 57.
According to TMZ, the icon was found at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early this morning.
The artist had reportedly been hospitalised six days ago with flu-like symptoms.

Prince -full name Prince Rogers Nelson- fell ill during a private flight and was forced to make an unscheduled landing last Friday, reports the Daily Mail.
The legendary guitarist and vocalist had allegedly been suffering from illness for several weeks, but was thought to be recovering before his flight was diverted to Quad City International Airport in Moline, Illinois.
A statement from Prince’s publicist Yvette Noel-Schure read:
It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57.
As testament to the reach of his art, social media has been flooded with moving tributes.
