Soulja Boy has claimed he taught Drake ‘everything he knows’.

While many people might have left the Kiss Me Thru The Phone singer behind in the early 2000s, Drake’s popularity has only risen in the last couple of years, making him one of the most popular rappers in the world. According to Soulja Boy however, the Canadian singer’s success is all down to him.

The Crank That singer appeared on The Breakfast Club recently, where he claimed he ‘made Drake’.

Take a look here:

When Drake was brought up, Soulja said:

Stop playing with me like I ain’t teach Drake everything he knows.

The host of the show questioned the statement, but Soulja was more than ready to back up his claims with evidence. Launching into Drake’s song Miss Me, the rapper sang the opening lines which he explained were stolen from his 2008 song Kiss Me Thru The Phone.

The 28-year-old exclaimed:

That’s Soulja! He copied my whole fucking flow, word for word, bar for bar!

Don’t act like I didn’t make Drake! Don’t do that!

As well as apparently being responsible for all the hits Drake has, Soulja went on to claim he was also the reason music artists have social media.

He said:

Everybody doing what I did.

I’m the reason why all these artists have social media. Every artist in the game, all your record labels, you all owe me five per cent bro.

While Soulja’s claims should probably be taken with a pinch of salt, he seems very confident about the big impact he’s had on the world!
