Conor McGregor may be just two days from taking on Nate Diaz but he’s already sounding out another massive fight.
The UFC featherweight champion’s rivalry with Floyd Mayweather is nothing new, but McGregor has stepped up the talk by claiming he would discuss a fight with the undefeated boxer.
Speaking to BT Sport’s Gareth A. Davies, ‘The Notorious’ claimed he’d do it for the fans.

McGregor said:
I’m open to discussions, come at me. But I hold the key and it’s me who holds the key to the fight game.
I am open minded, I am open to discussion, I love competition, I love fighting. It would be nice to make that fight if the fans were interested and wanted to see it.
He added of the ‘billion-dollar fight’:
I’m all about those numbers, Gareth, so I would definitely do that, no problem.
Who wouldn’t want to see McGregor fight this guy? Mayweather, that is, not Bieber – as much as I’m sure that would sell tickets also.
Who knows, maybe ‘Money’ Mayweather could be enticed out of retirement with some serious cash on offer, but I’m sure he’d accept nothing but a straight up boxing match against McGregor.
