For all the muggles out there who love sports not played on broomsticks (boring) NFL player Richard Sherman brought a touch of magic to his most recent press conference.

Sherman played five quarters of football in the Seattle Seahawk’s Sunday 6-6 tie against the Cardinals in Arizona however at the post game press conference Sherman greeted reporters while wearing a Hogwart’s school uniform.

Wandering out with Harry Potter theme blaring from his phone, Sherman waved around the Elder wand and approached the speakers podium.

He then explained that as it’s Halloween his son had challenged him to wear something, appropriate so ‘it’s happening. It’s happening.’

Getting into character Sherman went on to explain which game he thought was toughest, football or quidditch.

He said: the

Five quarters of football is pretty tough, but quidditch — the beaters, the chasers, trying to find the golden snitch, things like that — that’s tough. Five quarters of football, though, in the elements, I’d say that’d take the cake.

Rather than chat about the game Sherman chatted about his favourite Harry Potter book, Order of the Phoenix for any one interested, and explained that he’s just come back from a trip to Harry Potter land, which explains the costume.

He went on to explain how he recovered from Sunday’s gruelling game saying that while he’s definitely a wizard, he began feeling better probably around late, Tuesday night, after getting more fluids and a long night of sleep.

Seattle’s head coach Pete Carroll said Sherman should be ready to go for this week’s vital game against the New Orleans Saints.
