The next time Arsenal fans wonder why they’re the laughing stock of the Premier League, they need look no further than their latest campaign to boycott Costa Coffee.
Fans are urging fellow Gooners to take their business to Pret or Starbucks, and all because of Chelsea forward Diego Costa’s behaviour when the two sides met on Saturday.
In fairness, Costa put his masters in the dark arts to sublime use, and got Gabriel Paulista sent off, when really he should have received his marching orders.

While most sets of fans would just boo Costa and take to Twitter to lambast him, Arsenal fans went that one step further.
In fact, they went a lot of steps further, and if Arsene Wenger was as dedicated and efficient in the transfer market, they’d win the treble. And not just in pre-season.
Here is how the internet reacted to the plan.
It speaks volumes that people actually predicted this…
Arsenal fans are the type that will boycott Costa Coffee simply because it has the name Costa in it ??????

Arsenal have the sort of fans that would actually boycott Costa Coffee over this.

I hear shares in Costa coffee have taken a rapid decrease after a large proportion of their customers now refuse to drink there after today.

And unsurprisingly, some Arsenal fans were bang on it…
.@CostaCoffee I'm never drinking your coffee again. #JusticeForGabriel
