This morning the music world is mourning following yesterday’s tragic news of the suicide of Linkin Park’s frontman, Chester Bennington.
As details emerge of Chester’s death, a note from his son seems even more poignant, telling his rockstar father to ‘love life’.
The note, that was posted on social media by Chester’s widow Talinda Bennington, was written by his son Tyler just a month before his death.
In the heart-warming message, that was written on a post-it note, 11-year-old Tyler wished for his father to enjoy his day, while making reference to the band’s song Castle of Glass.
Chester’s wife, Talinda shared the sweet snap on social media at the start of June, and captioned the post:
Our Tyler is the best!
Tyler’s note wrote:
Dad, enjoy your rehearsal or whatever you’re doing today.
Love life because it’s a ‘Castle of Glass’.
– Tyler.
Chester, who was 41-years-old, was found dead in a suspected suicide, the Los Angeles County coroner has said.

Chester had six children – three with his wife Talinda – who we was with for eleven years.
Although she is yet to make a public statement, his bandmate Mike Shinoda responded to the tragic news on Twitter.
Shinoda, an original founder of the band said:
Shocked and heartbroken but it’s true.
Happy 11th Anniversary my love ❤️ ❤ @ChesterBe pic.twitter.com/lqtSlUrUZK

A statement by CEO and chairman of Warner Bros. Records Cameron Strang said:
Chester Bennington was an artist of extraordinary talent and charisma, and a human being with a huge heart and a caring soul.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his beautiful family, his band-mates and his many friends.
All of us at WBR join with millions of grieving fans around the world in saying: we love you Chester and you will be forever missed.

The date of Chester’s death – July 20 – marks what would have been the 53rd birthday of one of his close friends, the former Audioslave and Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell, who died in May this year, also from suicide.
Linkin Park recently performed in the UK on the European leg of their ‘One More Light’ world tour, which saw them play in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
The band were due to co-headline with Blink-182 at New York’s Citi Field on July 28 in what was billed as the ‘Welcome to Blinkin’ Park’ tour.
