Conor McGregor Attacks Floyd Mayweather In ‘Racist’ Instagram Post

As the dust settles on Conor McGregor’s recent Las Vegas fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, it seems the Irishman can’t help but comment on other people’s fights now he doesn’t have one of his own coming up.

Floyd Mayweather has announced his return to the ring – which will take place on New Year’s Eve – to battle it out with the currently unbeaten kickboxer, Tenshin Nasukawa, in Japan.

The rules between Mayweather and his surprise opponent are yet to be confirmed, as both fighters are from different disciplines.

Mayweather, the former five-weight world champion, infamously beat UFC’s Conor McGregor in a boxing match last year, after coming out of retirement, which extended his record to 50-0.

41-year-old Mayweather, who’s not fought since his bout with McGregor, said, as per the BBC:

I wanted to do something different. I wanted to display my skills outside the US and be in a special fight. I want to give the people what they want – blood, sweat and tears.

Nasukawa, a 20-year-old Japanese kickboxer, said:

It was a surprise offer but I accepted without hesitation. It’s the biggest moment in my life and I want to be the man who changes history. I’ll do that with these fists, with one punch – just watch.

Not one to hold back, Conor McGregor had something to say about it.

Taking to Instagram, The Notorious wrote:

Is that a tracksuit or a sauna suit Floyd haha wtf. is it hot in Tokyo or what’s the story here? that climate change is no joke f*ck me hahah [sic]

What in the f*ck is going on here? Who’s this little pr*ck next to you ? That’s mad sh*t. Like something out of rush hour 5 or something. [sic]

Chris tucker and Jackie f*cking Chan back in this b*tch. F*cking brilliant. Mad little b*stard you are Floyd. Fair f*cks to you mate. No lie. F*ck it. [sic]

However, many people are now calling out McGregor for his post, calling it racist and insensitive.

One person wrote:

In today’s episode of Conor McGregor saying racist sh*t: He refers to Tenshin Nasukawa as “Jackie Chan” [sic]

Couple that with him calling Dennis Siver a “Nazi” & saying he would invade Jose Aldo’s favela & “kill anybody who wasn’t fit to work”, maybe its time to call a spade a spade. [sic]

Another said:

I’m a big fan of Conor McGregor but I can’t back him up on that one, it’s some type of 12 years old bully sh*t “Hey Jackie Chan” when he sees an asian guy and “hey Apu” when it’s a brown guy. [sic]

Conor is more ignorant than racist, the guy just need to stop drinking he’s getting lost [sic]

While a third wrote:

Conor McGregor is a classic colonialist racist. It couldn’t be any more obvious now.

McGregor, the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion, is currently waiting for the outcome of a disciplinary hearing following his last fight with Nurmagomedov.
