The world seems to be Conor McGregor’s oyster these days.
From earning barely 100 euros a fight on the low ranking MMA scene he’s evolved into a sporting superstar, raking in tens of millions in the last couple of years alone.
Now he’s recognised across the world he’s taking full advantage of all the perks that come with it, hanging out with the likes of Drake, Katy Perry and Bono to name a few in the last couple of months.
So it probably comes as no shock that he felt entitled to gatecrash Jennifer Lopez’s super-exclusive birthday party when he wasn’t given an invite.
In a recent interview with The Irish Independent, McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh reminisced about the birthday bash back in July and how The Notorious completely stole the show.
As McGregor is good buds with Cristiano Ronaldo, who was an invited guest at J.Lo’s party, he thought it would be cool if he just ‘tagged along’.
Kavanagh said:
We’re all there thinking: ‘How can Ronaldo invite us to this gig? Who’s going to be there?’ Even in the car as we’re driving in: ‘Wait! This a terrible mistake. We’re going to walk in here and be thrown out by some security guard!’
He continued:
We go in and J-Lo catches his eye and comes running over like a schoolgirl ‘Oh! Conor McGregor! Thank you for coming. Let’s dance.’ She drags him to the dance floor, and they start dancing and I’m like ‘Oh, here we go, just another crazy story.’
And while McGregor chilled with J-Lo, as you do, Kavanagh messed about with Ronaldo.
He continues:
Ronaldo is there. He comes over, tells me that he reads everything [I write] and follows me on Instagram. I’m thinking wait until I tell my dad about this. Yeah, it was like a drunk party, I’ll tell you this. But it was very enjoyable.
Who’d have thought this would be Conor’s life a few years ago? He must be pinching himself every day, while rolling around in all that dollar.
