PAConor McGregor has been handed a two-month fight suspension, after he suffered a TKO in the tenth round against Floyd Mayweather.
The suspension has been handed down by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, after McGregor has been deemed medically unfit to fight.
The ban sees The Notorious unable to have any physical contact until October 11, and forbidden to enter either the boxing ring or the Octagon until October 26.
PAOnce the ban is over the Nevada State Athletic Commission will require the Irishman to take a medical exam. If the results come out clear, he will be able to return to what he does best, reports the Mirror.
The Irish UFC athlete looked in pretty good shape after lasting 10 round in the T-Mobile Arena ring in Las Vegas on Saturday, even after the ref called time on the bout.

McGregor said he was able to continue, and would’ve liked to hit the canvas before the fight was over, despite doctors advising the waviness he experienced could be a sign of concussion.
However, the Nevada State Athletic Commission backed referee Robert Byrd for calling curtains.

Robert did an excellent job. He was just hit popping him, lefts and rights, it was definitely time to stop that fight and I don’t think we could have asked anymore from Robert.
GettyThe UFC calendar is looking pretty sparse for the rest of this year, and Conor is not expected to return to competition until 2018. With the rumour-mill churning again, some expect McGregor to take on former sparring partner, Paulie Malignaggi on St. Patrick’s day next year.
