If I’d just gone ten rounds with the greatest boxer of all time (IDST) I’d feel deserving of a pizza, wouldn’t you?
Well, you and Conor McGregor both. When The Notorious didn’t quite hit the canvas in the tenth round at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena with Floyd Mayweather, he decided to call curtains on his training and get some TLC.
Right on brand, as he announced his post-fight plans to eat and drink his way through his estimated $77 million earnings on a superyacht in Ibiza, he also released his line of Notorious Whiskey.
Surrounded by his family – Conor McGregor Junior, his sister Aoife and partner, Dee Devlin – the athlete has displayed a prowess for making weight – again – demolishing delicious plates of grub, sharing his ‘food porn’ to social media.
Two weeks down the line and Conor, ever confident and ever tongue-in-cheek, is proudly showing off the results of his bender on Instagram.
He shared a photograph of Dee rubbing his stomach – which he dubbed his ‘wealth belly‘ – in a post-meal moment of affection.
After all, it’s best to get his strength up while he’s waiting out a two-month ban from fighting, as there are big things on the horizon for the Irish MMA champ.
Paulie Malignaggi has already said he’d like to meet McGregor as an opponent rather than a sparring partner in the ring on St Paddy’s Day 2018.
UFC puppeteer, Dana White also has big plans to get his cash cow back into the Octagon, so the tiger tattoo is bound to be hungry.
Everyone wants a piece; even Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps would like to meet McGregor for a battle in the pool.
Not to mention Conor has an upcoming documentary on the books.

So in the meantime, who can blame the guy for carb-loading and drink-downing?
He still cuts a fine figure of a man and frankly, the ‘wealth belly’ is something we can all get on board with.
I’m half way there anyway – now all I need is McGregor’s money.
