Conor McGregor has posted an insane workout video on Twitter in the build-up for the huge Floyd Mayweather fight.
In the video McGregor tells Floyd Mayweather ‘if he dies, he dies’, quoting Rocky’s infamous nemesis Ivan Drago.
This will surely start a battle of words between the two as McGregor takes the first shot.
In a surprising move the UFC Lightweight Champion chose to quote Dolph Lundgren’s hulking Soviet villain from the 1985 film Rocky IV instead of the Italian Stallion himself.
In the opening scenes of the film Drago pummels Rocky’s former rival turned friend Apollo Creed to the ground and batters him until he is pulp.
This makes the all too famous quote that McGregor repeats incredibly sinister.
The video is also captioned with the quote ‘if he dies, he dies’ on the Twitter post.
McGregor and undefeated welterweight boxer ‘Money’ Mayweather will begin their worldwide press tour next week.
The $500 million mega-fight between the two takes place August 26.
This will be Mayweather’s first fight back in the ring after retiring undefeated at an incredible 49-0 after beating Andre Berto in 2015.
McGregor’s last fight in The Octagon was against Eddie Alvarez last year on November 12.
He won via TKO in the second round, taking him to a fight record of 22-3, and making him the UFC’s first ever two-division champion.
