We told you yesterday how former heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson, predicted that Conor McGregor will ‘get killed’ in the ring when he takes on Floyd Mayweather next month.
Well, we all knew it wouldn’t be long until the UFC Lightweight Champion, famous for his trash-talking as much as his fighting, responded.
The Irishman, in true McGregor fashion, took to social media to further instill his confidence going into the bout.
On his official Instagram account, McGregor said:
You are all going to eat your words for the rest of your days, while I eat lobster for the rest of mine.
McGregor also took a swipe at Iron Mike on Twitter saying:
That’s nice Mike, but you’re looking at the new Don King here, son. Money is mine.

The beef between the pair started when Tyson appeared on the podcast ‘Pardon My Take’, and kept referring to the UFC star as ‘McConor’ while being highly critical of the star.
Tyson said:
McGregor is going to get killed in boxing – I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that’s what it’s all about – can the boxer beat the MMA guy?
McConor put his dumbass in a position where he’s gonna get knocked out because this guy’s been doing this all his life since he was a baby.
McConor can’t kick and grab and stuff so he won’t stand much of a chance.

The $500 million mega-fight between McGregor and Mayweather takes place in Las Vegas next month on the 26th.
Mike, over to you…
