GettyAntonio Conte is taking on the role of borderline stalker in his pursuit of new players this pre season.
The new Blues manager wants another striker to add to his squad, and sees former Juventus man Alvaro Morata as his number one target.
Real Madrid want big money for the Spaniard and there is interest from around Europe for the 23-year-old, but Conte has been using his pulling power to lure Morata to Stamford Bridge.
According to the Express, the Chelsea boss has been in constant contact with Morata since Spain were knocked out of Euro 2016 – ironically by Conte’s Italy side.
GettyMorata was signed by Conte for Juventus in 2014, but the manager was then appointed Italy boss three weeks later.
However, the 46-year-old boss is keen for a reunion, especially with Diego Costa pushing for the exit.
Chelsea are already thought to have tabled a £50m bid for the striker, just weeks after Morata rejoined Madrid from Juventus after the Spanish giants activated his buy back clause.
Arsenal are also interested in the 6’2″ striker, but are losing hope of signing anyone after being handed multiple knock backs in their quest to strengthen their squad.
Any transfer for Morata could kick off a series of moves, with Atletico Madrid hoping Morata goes to Chelsea so they can sign Diego Costa.
Real Madrid are also hoping the fee they receive for their striker would provide them with enough cash to try and hijack Paul Pogba’s move to Manchester United.

GettyIt is likely that Conte’s personal touch will persuade Morata to choose west London over north London, due to the Italian’s assurances that Morata will be the main striker at Stamford Bridge.
I always thought pestering someone daily was more likely to get you a restraining order, but on this case it looks to have landed one of the most wanted strikers in the world.
