Dana White has heard what Floyd Mayweather is willing to offer Conor McGregor for a boxing super fight, and he’s willing to beat it.
As reported by MMA Junkie, the UFC president appeared on FS1’s “The Herd” and announced the huge figure he’d offer to both men to go toe-to-toe.
White is reportedly willing to give both men $25 million plus a cut of the pay-per-view takings.
He said on the show:
There’s a real offer to Floyd.
And followed by arguing that McGregor will provide ‘Money’ with a bumper payday after PPV sales for his 2015 retirement bout against Andre Berto dropped dramatically.
White said:
Conor McGregor is his money fight.
The insults and long running social media dispute between the Dubliner and Mayweather could just be about to come to a head.
However, while White is boosting Mystic Mac’s pay by a minimum of $10 million compared to what Floyd was offering, the boxer had a figure closer to $100 million in his mind.
So the figures are moving the right way for one man, while slipping for the other – will the hype be enough to get this fight over the line, and is it a fight fans genuinely want to see?
