Never one to do anything by half – go hard or go home amIright?! – Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has shared a few more insights into his larger than life, life.

You don’t have to be a fitness fanatic to know the guy works out. One look at Dwayne and it’s obvious he knows his way around a set of dumbbells.

The good news is though, you also don’t need to be a fitness fanatic to have a cheat day meal. What’s a cheat day? It’s when you say to yourself ‘screw it’ and just eat and drink whatever you want. Kinda like most people’s Saturday night.

Of course, Dwayne’s cheat days are not going to be anything like yours or mine. He’s still going to put away enough food to feed a family of four having a fabulous time in Fuerteventura.

Taking to Instagram yesterday (October 23), Dwayne posted a sumptuous picture of his ‘cheat’ meal – a giant plate of some seriously good looking sushi. (Not the type you get in your Tesco meal deal, either.)

Check it out:

The cheat meal Sushi Train rolls on strong. Good collisions of world’s here/ Re-watching one of my fav docs, THE DEFIANT ONES (highly recommend) while going over my 2020 @underarmour creative concepts for our new Project Rock collection, called INNER WARRIOR – because everything always starts from within.

You vs You. Project Rock has become @underarmour’s #1 global seller and we’ll continue to be humble and hungry as we steadily disrupt and elevate the game.

Now it’s Me vs Sushi and in this game, there are no losers – only winners. Especially my big, greedy, gluttonous f’n belly. #SooshTrainRollsOn #CheatMealTime #Defiance #InnerWarrior [sic]

Great choice in meal, and great choice in documentary I’d say. But what do you have for pudding after all that sweet sushi? Giant cookies, naturally.

Check these bad boys out:

Cheat meal cookie train rolls on. Helluva sugar/ Netflix combo… My tiny (and by tiny I mean f*cking ginormous) signature DJ double chocolate and peanut butter chip cookies with creamy peanut butter layered in the middle. [sic]

And great doc about the icon Bob Marley and an assassination attempt made on his life in 1976.

Bob’s son, Rohan Marley was my teammate when we played ball together down at THE U. Good times when he would share stories with us about his legendary father and their family. “Sistah, I bring the ghetto uptown” [sic]

Again, great food and documentary combo you got there, Dwayne. You’re gonna need to share the recipes for those cookies too. By the way, these pictures were posted just an hour apart…

The Rock consistently chows down around 5,000 calories a day, which is double the recommended amount for men. Instead, he cultivates mass by taking on 2.3 pounds of cod, along with eggs, steak, chicken, vegetables and potatoes every (non-cheat) day.

One foolish/heroic guy tried to match Dwayne’s diet earlier this year, sticking to The Rock’s routine for a month.

In one month, he spent $1,262 (£873) on food alone, averaging out to about $42 (£30) per day, including $18 (£12) worth of cod. It also cost him a fair amount of time, spending an hour and a half prepping his meals.

Serious commitment right there.
