The Belgian winger was as much use as an inflatable dartboard, just one season after claiming the PFA Player of the Year award for a stunning campaign.

Hazard did show signs of improvement during Euro 2016, as he was part of the Belgium side that reached the quarter finals, and looks to have continued that vein of form as Chelsea’s pre season campaign gathers pace.

The 24-year-old was handed a chance to impress Conte as Chelsea faced Real Madrid, being subbed on as the Blues trailed 3-0 in Michigan, and duly scored twice in ten minutes to reduce the deficit.

Both decent finishes from Hazard, who looked sharp as he rounded the goalkeeper twice.

Now, all he has to do is hope Premier League goalkeepers are as hopeless as Orlando Ruben Yanez Alabart next season, and he’ll be banging them in.

Chelsea have now won two and lost two of their four pre season games, and have to play AC Milan and Werder Bremen before their season kicks off against West Ham United on August 15.
