Amid the violent scenes between England and Russia at Euro 2016, one England player’s wife has claimed she was caught up in the trouble.
Rebekah Vardy (wife of Chat Shit, Get Banged Jamie) tweeted the claims, and said she was ‘caged’ and ‘tear-gassed’ all before the game began.
She took to Twitter to express her shock and rage, writing:
That has to be up there with the worst experience EVER at an away game! Teargassed for no reason, caged and treated like animals! Shocking!

I witnessed this with my own eyes! I can't comment on things I didn't see but what I got caught up in was horrific and uncalled for!

And this happened before the game even kicked off!

She defended her claims to Piers Morgan, who of course had to pipe up…
Mr Morgan…..a fact! They closed the gates so the fans couldn't get through then tear gassed us! https://t.co/DByD2tuQUL

If Rebekah’s claims are true, it casts a further shadow on the night, where several England fans were already seriously hurt, with one fighting for his life, after clashes with Russian hooligans.
England goalie Joe Hart went over to the crowd at the end, to urge fans to stay in the stadium and stay safe, but it seems even doing that isn’t going to guarantee you protection.

Stan Collymore also took to Periscope to show shocking live scenes – including being tear-gassed himself..

UEFA are set to open an investigation into the behaviour, which marred the start of what should have been the tournament of the summer.
