The Superbowl’s incredible turn around may have gone down as one of the most incredible wins for the New England Patriots, but it also won a lucky fan a date with tennis star Eugenie Bouchard.
As you may remember, back when the Falcons were up big on the Patriots, Bouchard bet a Pats fan she would go on a date with him if his team won.
It was unlikely at the time, but one of the greatest comebacks in Superbowl history quickly turned that around, with the Falcons blowing a 25-point lead as the Patriots rallied to win in overtime.
The bet quickly went viral, with Bouchard promising she would not back out.
And on Wednesday night, she made good on that bet by taking the Patriots fan, now better known as John Goehrke, to a Nets game on at the Barclays Center.
In New York for ceremonies tied to her Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in which she appears, Bouchard met Goehrke yesterday and sat together for the game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
And it looked like it went pretty well:
Can we expect Bouchard to be changing her name to Mrs Jordan Geohrke soon?
Probably not, as reports link the tennis star to Canadian hockey player Jordan Caron. But hey, at least they had fun.
