The previous season saw him score just four goals, but last time out saw him bag 21 league goals, ripping up the Premier League, terrifying defences everywhere – including that of the Champions Chelsea – and running the sublime Eden Hazard close in terms of being the best player in England.
Form like that put Kane firmly on the map, and links to Real Madrid rife (because you know, the Spanish side love to tap into that special relationship) but with Los Blancos seemingly happy with what they have, it is another club who are looking at Kane, and they are much closer to home.
Manchester United saw Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie leave, and have not yet signed an ‘out and out number 9’, and it seemed that Louis van Gaal was leaning towards the possibility of deploying Memphis Depay or Wayne Rooney there, but apparently, moves behind the scenes have been made for Kane, with a second bid in the works (when exactly the first one was we don’t know) and here is why Spurs should make Hurri-Kane their main frontman.
He scores goals. Lots and lots of goals
Granted it may just have been one good season, but you don’t bag 32 goals in all competitions by chance.
He’s a goalscorer, and adding a 20 goal per season striker will certainly be a welcome addition to United in their attempts to challenge at the top, with goals an issue last term – when Falcao was on the field at least.
And, with the service he could be receiving from the players at United, he could go way beyond the 21 league goals he got last season, with the form of Chadli and Lamela indifferent to say the very least.

Short of strikers
There’s only Rooney, Wilson, and Hernandez in their squad that are accomplished in that number nine role. But, with Hernandez injured and linked with a move away from the club, and James Wilson not exactly proven at Premier League level just yet, Kane would be a great addition.
Rooney has become more of a choice in midfield under LVG, and despite the manager joking that he has listened to the media and will play his skipper in his preferred role, the England international will probably still find him as a number ten on most occasions. Even though LVG has said that he’d use Depay as a striker if necessary, it’s not quite having a proven striker leading your attack, is it?
The potential partnership between Kane and Rooney for club and country could also be the stuff of dreams, and something LVG should tap in to.
Better players around you ensure you step up a level
He’ll be training day in, day out with a striker who’s scored 185 Premier League goals in Wayne Rooney, so it’ll only help him improve as a player.
It’s not exactly comparable with what Spurs have with Roberto Soldado, who couldn’t hit row z, let alone the back of the net, at the minute.
They have the potential to have one of the world’s best strikers in their ranks, if he develops as England fans hope, so it’d be a great signing for not only now, but also in terms of the future for United.

If they don’t, someone else will
Let’s face it, United could be left behind here. At some point, Kane will want Champions League football, and he isn’t exactly guaranteed that with Spurs – in fact, it’s a massive long shot, and if they manage to scrape top four, they certainly won’t fancy their prospects of getting through the group stages of the Champions League.
If one of the top four want him, they’ll probably snap him up – cut to the photos of Harry in an Arsenal shirt.
If he matches his goalscoring record of last season, the player himself will want to move on to bigger and better things and that’s before anyone even considers his agent getting involved, oh and Real Madrid will probably be sniffing around him like seagulls on chips.
He gets the crowd on the edge of their seats
Kane is one of those players always looks dangerous, and can score from nothing. And, this will be a breath of fresh air for United fans, particularly after the days of Falcao last season.
He scores a variety of goals, so he definitely has the capability to add some excitement to the United attack.
Imagine a front three of Kane, Rooney, and Depay. Potentially mouthwatering stuff for LVG and Manchester United fans as they begin their quest to get back to the summit of English football.
