With just mere weeks till the long awaited duel between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, there’s a likely hood that the UFC fighter might resort to some ‘under-handed’ tactics on the night.

While there’s absolutely no proof that the cocky Irishman is planning to do such a thing the question was still posed to ‘Money’ Mayweather on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

Kimmel asked the 49-0 fighter about the possibility of ‘The Notorious’ going rouge come 26 August at the T-Mobile in Las Vegas. By going rouge we mean him resorting to UFC tactics and straight up kicking Mayweather.

The 40-year-old responded by saying:

That’s a fine, that’s a huge fine.

I don’t think he wants to lose probably 90 per cent of his money, or more. I don’t even know what that’s going to be but it’s going to be a heavy fine.

McGregor is expected to be making an estimated $100 million (£77.7 million) out of this fight, so we doubt that he’ll take the risk for a 90 per cent deduction.

However stranger things have happened in the boxing world, and considering the controversy that’s steamed out of his sparring sessions with ex-welterweight Paul Malignaggi.

Add that to the fact that defensively Floyd Mayweather is the best pound-for-pound fighter there’s a suggestion that McGregor could get frustrated and start doing roundhouse kicks a-la Chuck Norris.

However none of this talk is phasing McGregor.

According to The Independent McGregor spoke reporters last Friday, he said:

I have a game plan and I will execute it perfectly, like always.

I have been boxing my whole life so this is not a new experience for me.

I will rule over MMA and boxing with an iron fist after August 26th.

“he critics say that Floyd has been there before. They discredit my training, my skills, my accomplishments.

This isn’t new to me though, just like boxing isn’t new to me. I am no stranger to being the underdog on paper. I am a seasoned veteran and I am confident that I am the better man.

After Saturday August 26th, I will be a god of boxing.

Come 26 August we’ll see who comes out on top… and whether McGregor goes native and tries to kick off Maywether’s head.

I’m kind of secretly hoping that happens.
