HBOShe’s more used to playing with dragons and getting naked in Game of Thrones, but apparently Emilia Clarke, AKA Daenerys Targaryen, is set to take up a very different role.
The Mirror reports that Clarke is going to play the fiancee of Premier League hero Jamie Vardy in an upcoming movie about his road to footballing stardom.
It’s somewhat of a compliment to WAG Rebekah Nicholson, 33, considering the British actress was named the ‘sexiest woman alive’ last year.
APSeveral big names have already been rumoured to be playing a part in Adrian Butchart’s upcoming biopic, with Robert Pattinson and Zac Efron being rumoured to play Vardy.
While Claudio Ranieri quite likes the idea of Hollywood legend Robert De Niro playing and Vinnie Jones has been touted to star as former Foxes boss Nigel Pearson, if reports are to be believed.
So it would be no real surprise if they pulled out more of the big guns, like Clarke.
GettyVery little is known about the Vardy movie just yet, but it sounds like Emilia won’t just be playing a supporting role in this tale.
Butchart – who plans to release the movie in 2017 – said: “In a male-dominated story, it’s important to have a strong female lead. Becky’s a combination of beauty and inner strength.”
The story will be that of Vardy’s staggering rise from a non-league nobody to a key figure in Leicester’s sensational Premier League title challenge.
It will certainly be interesting to see how this all pans out in the upcoming months.
