A man was caught appearing to give ‘cocaine’ to his friend while they were stood in the background as Sky Sports cameras were recording live over the weekend.

The man in question was spotted by eagle-eyed viewers watching the Anthony Crolla v Ricky Burns ringside footage on Saturday night.

While Sky Sports pundit Johnny Nelson was talking to camera, a man stood in the background could be seen reaching into his jacket pocket.

You can clearly see in the video the man then remove his hand from the pocket before shoving his finger into his friend’s mouth. Bit gross.

Twitter user Jordan Hewlett spied the bizarre exchange and posted the footage online and it quickly circulated, going viral as fans speculated about what was going on.

One theory was he was simply lending him some Bonjela to soothe his gums, another believed it was an ‘innocent pocket lick’ – because we all want to know what pockets taste like, right?

Another person said they thought it could be Space Dust and others said they thought it must have been a Sherbet Fountain.

The footage was shot during an interview during coverage of the Anthony Crolla v Ricky Burns fight at Manchester Arena on Saturday night.

Crolla edged an amazing non-title lightweight contest against Burns, with referees scoring it 116-113, 117-112, 116-114. A unanimous victory.

Both Crolla and Burns went into the bout following world title losses.

Crolla dedicated his victory to his 17-year-old cousin, Leah, as well as everyone else affected by May’s terror attack at the Manchester Arena, which saw 22 people killed.

The Manchester boxer beat Burns in front of a packed house, including Leah, with many people visiting the Arena for the first time since May 22nd.

According to Manchester Evening News, Crolla said:

My cousin was here tonight and she’ll be going home happy. It meant absolutely everything to me to win after everything that’s happened.

I was here at the re-opening a few weeks back and it was a very special night.

There were people in there on Saturday for the first time since that horrible night. They came out to support me and it was an emotional night for people, so I had to make sure I got the win.

When I walk out, you get those nerves and I say to myself ‘I’m the luckiest person in the world’.

I’m living a childhood dream here. I’m just glad we put on a great fight for everyone.

Crolla is now a step closer towards gaining another world title, having lost his WBA lightweight belt to Venezuela’s Jorge Linares.

He has also been linked with a big money fight in America.

Crolla has said he is open to a rematch with Burns in Glasgow in the spring but he and promoter Eddie Hearn will first consider their options, writes BBC Sport.

He said:

I’m very proud of where I’m from but when Flower of Scotland plays in the Hydro [in Glasgow] I find it hard not to sing along.

I’ve got no problem going there.
